We had a wonderful week of learning together! In math we are reviewing dynamic addition and subtraction until the end of the year, as well as word problems, but we're also learning about 2D and 3D shapes. In literacy, we read the classic story Caps for Sale and practiced retelling the story to build our comprehension skills. Students worked on remembering important details and putting events in order. Ask your child to tell you all about it!  In spelling, we focused on tricky homophones ( we’re, wear, were, where ) and learned how to add -er and -est to compare words. We had fun with active games like arm wrestling and crab walks to help us understand these concepts! We used headbands to dictate sentences to our friends. Addison was the strong est armwrestler! With the rainy start to the week, we connected our learning to our watershed and where our water comes from.
